Being in such a fantastic location to discover wildlife, there is no shortage of companies offering short and long day tours.

There are a couple of fantastic operators on the Isle of Mull; Wildlife on Mull and Mull Magic both offer great opportunities to see wildlife and their websites are a good source of inspiration for your trip. Within a short distance of Oban is the Kintail Birds of Prey centre which is a fantastic experience. Wildlife can also be seen from the very popular Oban Sea Tours boat trips which last around 2 hours.

You can see an array of wildlife on land and sea ranging from sea eagles, seals, dolphins and puffins. There will be a fantastic range of photography options for your day out.

Dungallan Country House is a lovely property and has been very tastefully updated in keeping with the architecture. It’s just beautiful. The views from the house are also stunning. We were warmly welcomed and well accommodated when we had a late ferry on a rainy day. The staff were genuinely warm and gracious. They really made it a terrific experience. We could not have asked for more. I highly recommend Dungallan Country House. It will make your stay in Oban very special.

A Pure gem. What an experience. If in the area - stay here!! From the moment we stepped into Dungallan and until we left, it was just wonderful. New management team have turned this lovely 155 year old house into the amazing g experience. From James on front of house, assisted by the delightful Chloe to the brilliant chef Martin and all the support staff, they could not do enough for us. We hadn’t planned on having dinner here, however when we saw the menu and the price we had to dine in. Best decision we’ve made in a long time. Martin has an incredible talent and made the most wonderful meal. We’ve eaten some top nosh - but we were blown away by the whole experience. One of those evenings we’ll never forget. A fantastic team, and you can genuinely feel the positivity and supportive nature in all they do. I was in Two minds to post this review as we have found a real gem and selfishly don’t want to tell anyone - you know when you have found something so special you want to keep it to yourself? Well this is it! So go stay and experience fantastic service at incredible prices. We will be back - just not soon enough.👏👏👏👏👏
